Buckhead Lodge - Tri-Level Cabin with Mountain Views

We stayed at the Buckhead Lodge for two weeks and absolutely loved the property. It's very quiet, easy to get to with easy driving, and the views are beautiful. We saw tons of wildlife. The shower and water pressure were great, and while the kitchen is on the small side, it was easy to find everything we needed. Our only complaint was an ant infestation outside — fire ants, specifically — that made the fire pit basically unusable. That was the one sad part of the trip, since the fire pit was a big reason we booked this property. The good news is it's totally treatable, and they started treatment while we were there. GMR was super responsive throughout, which we really appreciated. Even with that one issue, we'd happily come back. A beautiful, peaceful spot.

We loved our stay at the Buckhead and more than once my fiance said he wanted to extend our trip and stay a little extra. We had 4 kids and one toddler which worked out but we had to be creative. They had plenty of bedding and towels for everyone which we were very thankful for. Everything was clean and kept nicely and we will recommend the Buckhead to anyone we hear is coming to Helen.
