Down-Time at Your Georgia Cabin Rental

Vacation getaways are inherently fun, but sometimes we try to jam too many things into a trip. There is so much to do in our north Georgia backyard, but taking time to relax and just be is important. Here are some ideas to consider during your stay.

Roasting Marshmallows

Marshmallow, stick, fire, done. Many of our cabin rentals have outdoor fire pits. Check under amenities or call us to confirm before you arrive.

Puzzles

Maybe you haven't worked a puzzle since you were ten and stayed with your grandparents. It might be time to try again. Puzzles can be strangely addictive. Get a size that can be completed during your stay.

Birdwatching

Seeing birds you can't identify? The All About Birds website has a Bird ID tab to help. If you can hear a bird but not see it, use their tutorial to learn how to identify birds by their calls.

Board Games

Old standbys like Connect Four, Monopoly, and Battleship still work. There are also plenty of new twists on the classics.

Star-gazing

If you're coming from the city, you may find you can see many more stars than at home. The Sky View Lite app gives you information on constellations and much more.

Cook

Stop at Betty's Country Store and get a monster steak for the grill, or have the family pitch in for a giant batch of chili. Check amenities for your property before you arrive. Most cabins have gas grills but a few still have charcoal. Bring any kitchenware beyond the basics if you need it.
