From studio-style one-bed cabins to 4-bedroom chalets, Georgia Mountain Rentals has pet-friendly properties of all sizes. There are even several cabins with fenced backyards, including Laurel Ridge and Pawsibilities. The fenced areas are the perfect sniffing ground for the dog to enjoy, giving you peace of mind knowing they are secure. Some vacation rental properties also feature screened-in pooch porches.
Our most popular pet-friendly cabin has always been Pawsibilities. Located only minutes from Alpine Helen, this 2-bedroom cabin is perfect for couples, families with children, and most of all the pets. A privacy fence surrounds the backyard and creates a great mountain retreat. Pawsibilities is located within walking distance of a community lake, where many a four-legged furry guest has taken a dip. Swimming and fishing are permitted at your own risk.
We ask that you bring a crate for those times you must leave Fido in the cabin alone. The crate not only keeps him safe, but the property and furnishings as well. If you would rather not leave the pooch alone but can't take him to your favorite dining spot, there's always the option of leaving him a few hours with a dog-sitter.
We highly recommend Moon Doggies, a doggy day care and boarding facility located just opposite the Georgia Mountain Rentals office. Jackie is passionate about animals and would be happy to discuss taking care of your furry friends when you just can't take them with you.
If you forget to pack the essentials or just want a souvenir toy from the mountains, there are several small pet shops, feed stores, and grocery stores located close to Helen. There are also a great number of veterinarians accessible for any emergencies that might occur during your visit. We would be happy to send you an email with a list of pet stores, groomers, and veterinarians upon request.
When booking a pet-friendly cabin, tell your GMR reservation agent how many pets are in the family, along with their weight. With this, you will receive a guaranteed quote that includes a one-time pet fee for each according to size.
