The 15 minute drive to Helen was perfect for getting an early start ti get breakfast at Hofer's bakery. The property was in desperate need of serious maintenance. The floors had not been mopped as my socks turned brown walking on the hardwood floors. One of the burners on the range did not work at all. The mattress sides had started to collapse. The jacuzzi tub looked like it had been broken and jerry-rigged to work. There was no faucet and water flowed out of a water jet where the nozzle had been removed. Turning on the jets, all of the force went through the same missing jet and made water hit the wall. The dishwasher intermittently was able to run with the door not sensing if it was closed. It didn't open detergent compartment during a run, and the water didn't drain leaving a pool of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Hopefully it gets fixed for future guests." (6/5)
