- **Stephanie D.**: "Our family decided to take an impromptu trip to Southeastern TN and Northeastern GA, with a day trip to ATL. It was certainly an activity filled trip with several stops across both states. Hibernation Station was the PERFECT location for our comings and goings. Plenty of space for our family of 4, with two pre-teens/teens. They had their own space, and we felt safe! We enjoyed the screened part of the porch in the late evening. (We especially appreciated the lack of access from outside to the exterior doors on the "back" bedroom. My kids felt safe even with the door to the deck in their room.) Everything was clean and comfortable. There was zero neighbor noise at night. We were minutes from the main road, but far enough out that traffic from Helen wasn't an issue. The rental company called to check in to make sure everything was great on our second day, which was nice. All appliances that we used worked as expected, there were plenty of dishes for our needs in the kitchen. We brought cards, but did peruse the game choice in the cabin, and the kids appreciated the puzzles and spent some time on them. The only negative I can think of is that we didn't see a real bear, but of course that's not the property's fault. As for the area, Helen is a quaint little gem. If you're familiar with the Pigeon Forge area, we half-joked that it's a "German Pigeon Forge circa 1990". That said, the food choices in Helen are FAR superior. We enjoyed Thai from the local Thai restaurant as take-out one evening. We dined in at Hofbrauhaus, and it was terrific! On our last day, we did tube the Chattahoochee with Cool River Tubing. Initially we chose the "short" float, but at the last minute decided to do the "long" version. We had SO much fun. So, great little village, excellent place to stay, and a wonderful trip to the area for us!" (10/5)

The location is quiet and away from neighbors with a beautiful Mountain View but easy yo get to and only a 5 minute trip into Helen. Location was close to the local falls and trails. The hot tub was great to come back to after a day of walking/hiking. The house was charming and very clean. It reminded me of staying at a grandparent’s cabin that was meticulously maintained and welcoming. The Georgia Mountain Rental company was very responsive and even lett us switch to this property from another one of their properties last minute. I highly recommend." (10/5)
